Esther Tendai Sibongile Musiyazviriyo Burt (aka Esther T-S)

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder

Esther, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of HPMT, has a media innovation to enable healthcare professionals to empower and encourage one another. Since qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2005, Esther has had the privilege of working in different capacities in both NHS and private healthcare sectors.

Over the years, it became clear to Esther that healthcare professionals are so much stronger and more productive when motivated by peers or work colleagues. She was impressed by how impactful their support of one another can be, enabling staff to persevere and continue their vital work even through the most demanding situations and challenging times.

This experience motivated Esther to create a platform whereby healthcare professionals can share their motivation and positivity, so that other staff members can see light at the end of the tunnel rather than give up completely, due to the pressure of work.

In the process, Esther hopes to communicate her own and others’ passion for raising mental health awareness to help combat the stigma and confusion that still lingers in our communities today.

To relax, Esther likes reading and having 1:1s with her chickens!

Deborah Sithembile Kudakwamwari (aka Debbie Kay)

Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder

Debbie is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of HPMT. Debbie has a Psychology background and has worked in the healthcare industry for nearly 30 years. Debbie has had first-hand experience of the struggles faced by hardworking care professionals and has witnessed the build-up of stress that, if not managed well, can lead to widespread disaffection and the disintegration of organisations.

As a result, Debbie formulated the 4 Cs Framework that simply explains four stages that enable organisations to thrive while putting the mental wellbeing staff members at its core. Debbie’s role in HPMT is to oversee its smooth functioning.

To relax, Debbie likes spending time gardening and watching other gardeners at work!

Elizabeth Titania Williamson (aka Tanya)

Chief Nursing Officer

Tanya is a dual-qualified Paediatric and Adult Nurse with about 40 years of nursing experience in various fields including caring for children, young people, and families. Throughout her career, Tanya has been fortunate to work across a wide range of settings – from cardiology, intensive care, and emergency departments to neurology, special schools, and CAMHS. She also spent time in upstate New York working with a charity supporting homeless children, an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of compassion and resilience.

Now semi-retired, Tanya work with the GP Out of Hours service in Cornwall, where she triages unwell patients, assess the urgency of their needs, arrange ambulances when required, and offer practical home care advice. Tanya also used to volunteer with her local community larder, helping to support families who may be struggling to access food and essentials. And currently, she also volunteers at New Wine Festivals every year, on their medical team. Nursing has always been more than a career for Tanya – it’s been a lifelong passion for helping people feel heard, cared for, and supported when they need it most.

To relax, Tanya likes swimming in the sea, walking her dogs on the beach and loves Tent-box adventures. Crocheting and reading books is Tanya’s therapy.

Clare Nonhebel

Copy Editor

As an author, journalist and editor, Clare wants to encourage contributors to write in, sharing their valuable, unique experiences of working within the healthcare sector, without anxiety about how to express their view.

“If you’re a dedicated healthcare worker but not a natural writer, please write in anyway – Clare can sift out typos or tweak spelling and grammar if necessary!

If you’re not sure how much or little to write – just write. It can be as detailed or concise as you like, but only you can tell your own story, so just go for it.

To relax, Clare likes gardening (though I’m not as green-fingered as Debbie!), swimming, walking and volunteering in our local foodbank.”
